This qualification reflects the role of specialist civil construction personnel who perform technical specialist tasks involving a broad range of varied activities, most of which are complex and non-routine. They are responsible for applying the site work instructions and practices to ensure the quantity and quality of their outputs and contribute to the development of technical solutions for non-routine problems.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This is on-the-job training, meaning participants must be employed in the civil construction industry to undertake this course.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

All students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process if they believe that they have suitable skills and knowledge through work experience, formal and informal training and / or general life experiences.
