Student competency will be assessed through a combination of methods to ensure a well-rounded evaluation of skills and knowledge. Workplace observations will be conducted on-site, allowing trainees to demonstrate their practical abilities in a real work environment.

Online knowledge assessments will be completed and submitted via the student portal, ensuring theoretical understanding is assessed effectively. Supervisor confirmations will involve trainees submitting training record book entries, which must be signed by their supervisor to verify competency in workplace tasks. Additionally, practical demonstrations will take place during scheduled assessor visits, providing further validation of skill application and competency development.

Students not undertaking this qualification as a traineeship will primarily engage with online learning content and assessments. However, practical components will still require demonstration in an appropriate workplace environment, with evidence of competency uploaded as part of assessment submissions.
