RII30920 – Multiple Streams

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as skilled operators in civil construction, who apply a broad range of skills in varied work contexts, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

This qualification has multiple streams which apply to specialist occupations in bituminous surfacing, bridge construction and maintenance, pipe laying, and road construction and maintenance.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course however participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instructions.

To study as a trainee within this program you must be indentured as a trainee with your employer. The minimum age for a trainee is 13 years of age as described by The Child Employment Act.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

All students will be offered the opportunity to participate in a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process if they believe that they have suitable skills and knowledge through work experience, formal and informal training and / or general life experiences.
